tired but relaxed and feeling great after a hot shower

The cold jacuzzi poem

Muted sunshine through my greatroom window,
what a welcome sight!
Little snow shower just passed me by,
saying "Don't worry, I won't stay long.
Maybe my hard earned hot tub soak,
will come to be, yet, tonight.
No! The tiny ice crystals didn't scare me off:
the water almost froze!
Jacuzzi pumps seize up, it seems,
if an outage stops it, then the heater can't heat it.
Water so cold, my hand turned red,
filling the gallon jugs one after another,
till all were filled and set aside for my plants later.
Three bathtubs from my kitchen faucette, as hot as could be,
carried in a bucket, one by one, let it run again.
When its nice and hot by tonight,
I'll slide in and laugh, at the ice around it,
while the jets massage my tired shoulders.
Then I'll slip into the warmth of my sunroom,
and bathe in my tropical plant lights.
Darkness cannot stop me!
Too tired to enjoy it now, after a morning of hard labor,
It will be ever so nice to slip into steaming hot water,
after it gets up to 106 degrees.
With jubilation for the triumph, my bones warmed to the core,
I'll slip back into my sunroom laughing at 'ol man winter,
and amid my tropical plants I'll sunbathe myself dry,
in my artificial day.
Freezing temperatures almost made an ice rink out of it,
and there are 4 more days of light snow to keep me in,
when the streets get slippery slidey.
Like a real Hoosier, now, after 6 winters, I stock up,
so I won't care,
cause boy! is it great to bask,
in my own private hotsprings and make light of the cold.
No tropical breezes,
but my mind will be on a hawaiian beach.
The lights in my sunroom, like rays on the sand,
will take me back to my home in California.
